A software company that, at the time, was making modular software for embedded systems. Logo requirements were to depict 1) an integrated circuit, 2) groupware (a bunch of pieces working together), and 3) movement towards the future (i.e., cutting edge software). They also wanted to say “big company.” This logo, the depiction of a stylized "chip" seen from the side, met all of their requirements, and was adopted in 1995.(See www.chipware.com.)

This is one of a series of ten logo concepts presented to a young entrepreneur who was starting a yoga mat company. The name of the company reflected one of the two opposing energy forces in Eastern thought, and is usually depicted by a downward facing triangle. Requirements for this logo included the depiction of such a triangle, the depiction of the seven chakras, and a lighthearted feel to denote a "fun" company. The logo was presented in 1997. |

A software company whose product enables targeted, audited ad insertion into streaming media. Requirements for the logo included that it denote: 1) lightning-fast, 2) broadcasting, 3) cutting edge technology, and 4) a big company. The client also asked that we use blue and gold in the logo, and that we have an icon, separate from the company name, rather than creating a wordmark only. This was an interesting project, as there were four principals, each with different requirements. In the end, all were satisfied, and the final logo was implemented in 2000. This logo was a lot of fun to design. As the client was me, and I knew exactly what I wanted, it was a quick job, as well. I wanted the logo to be a lizard, and to suggest an artist's palette in the negative space. I also wanted it to suggest tie-dye and graphic design, be colorful and inviting, and look "professional." This logo was completed in 2001. (See www.LizArt-Design.com.) |

They wished to emphasize a partnership with their clients, as they felt this was a major differentiating factor between their firm and the competition. This logo was completed and implemented in 2001. |
